A special highlight of KEC Mumbai is the Inspiration Zone, which showcases seven design suites by leading architects and designers, including Ashiesh Shah, Pinakin Patel, South African architecture firm Ommni Design, Italian designer Paola Navone, K2 India, Studio Lotus and ZZ Architects. These suites show the many possibilities of luxurious bathroom furnishings and encourage visitors to develop creative ideas for their own spaces.
The large staircase in the entrance area was created as a central design element in the planning process, connecting the two levels of the KEC and thus creating the symbiosis for a unique Kohler brand experience in India. To emphasise this central element, the staircase was clad with high-quality HARO parquet and enhanced with lighting elements. A total of 580 square metres of high-quality HARO Series 4000 Plank 1-Strip 180 2V Smoked Oak Markant brushed naturaDur Top Connect were laid in the KEC BOM, giving the rooms a natural look and feel.
The medium-brown smoked oak with its unmistakable structure forms a pleasant natural contrast to the characteristic stone floors. Cool stone and warm wooden parquet flooring create a clear separation between the presentation and recreation rooms. The large windows on the upper floor allow the play of light from the sun to fall elegantly on the parquet floor and create a harmonious atmosphere in the rooms depending on the time of day. The striking structure of the smoked oak parquet thus becomes a natural design element and creates a reference to nature in a man-made design environment. For optimum product installation, the HARO 3-layer parquet was laid using the appropriate HARO elastic MS adhesive. This means that all components are perfectly coordinated and guarantee the high-quality room experience that this location demands from a floor “Made in Germany”.
The KEC Mumbai offers interactive and functional product presentations, a fully equipped co-working area, which has also been fitted with high-quality HARO parquet flooring, and a storage area with modular rooms to assist customers with product selection. The products on display include Kohler’s Artist Editions, networked products and offerings from the premium brand Kallista. Visitors have the opportunity to test products before purchasing to ensure that they meet their requirements.
